Since the first pandemic winter, the You’re Going to Die non-profit has been holding writing workshops online and more recently, in person at The Center SF. The pieces written and shared within these groups have been some of the most impactful, vulnerable, meaningful works of expression we have ever experienced.

It’s finally time to bring these deeply alchemical pieces to our broader community. Please join us for these community readings, as we dive into the intricacies of grief and the simple truths of our aliveness together. Hosted by Chelsea Coleman and Amanda Nagai.

October is our non-profit’s community fundraiser month, and we invite you to consider offering more through the ticket tier options to help support our organization! Your contributions make it possible for us to offer scholarships to these writing workshops, as well as funding our Alive Inside Prison program and our Songs for Life hospice program.

Litquake’s diverse live programs are created with the aim of inspiring critical engagement with the key issues of the day, bringing people together around the common humanity encapsulated in literature, and perpetuating a sense of literary community, as well as a vibrant forum for Bay Area writing. We believe in literature as a public good, so we work to produce events that are accessible to all.
